FLAVOUR ORIGINS

The name 'grenadine' derives from the French word grenade, which means pomegranate. A non-alcoholic syrup with a characteristic deep red hue, it is traditionally prepared from a mixture of pomegranate juice, sugar and water. It is a popular cocktail ingredient valued for its tart and sweet flavour as well as the brilliant tint it gives mixed drinks. As a result, Grenadine is considered an essential in bars and cafes around the world and is used to mix both classic and contemporary cocktails, including Tequila Sunrise, Queen Mary and El Presidente. It’s also a common ingredient in non-alcoholic drinks such as Roy Rogers and Shirley Temple cocktails. Mathieu Teisseire Grenadine Syrup offers a sweet, tart flavour and floral nose. Made from pomegranate juice, this syrup offers a vibrant red colour which transforms everyday drinks such as juices, lemonades and sodas into the truly memorable.
